Bridal shower Saturday in Truman

An open house bridal shower for Kaylee Shoen, daughter of Don and Dawn

Shoen of Truman, and fiancee of Tyler Bitting from Keokuk, Iowa, will be held 10

a.m. to noon Saturday in the fellowship room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in

Truman. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Historical Society to offer program

A PowerPoint presentation entitled “Pioneer Physicians of Martin County” will be shown 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont. There is no charge. The public is invited to attend.

Immanuel Lutheran VBS next week

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont wants you to join them for Vacation Bible School (VBS) by exploring Jesus through a rain forest from July 19-22 at their church located at 1200 N. North Ave. in Fairmont. Kids, pre-kindergarten to 5th grade are welcome. They will have a free meal from 5-6 p.m. for all families attending VBS, then VBS will take place from 6-8 p.m. nightly. Come as many evenings as you can and enjoy the fun. Registration will be at the door.
