Fairmont City Band to hold concert

Fairmont City Band will perform 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Sylvania Park band shell in Fairmont. There will be no intermission entertainment. IHD committee will operate the concession stand, with proceeds going toward Interlaken Heritage Days. Band rehearsal will be held 6 p.m. every Tuesday at the band shell. CREST “Lunch & Learn” event Wednesday in Trimont

CREST will be having a “Lunch & Learn” event 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Trimont. The topic this month will be “June Brides” and participants are encouraged to bring their wedding pictures to share at the meeting. Wedding food will be served following the program. This event is open to anyone in Martin County and there is no cost to attend.

College News

Bennett Shane of Truman was named to the honors list for the 2021 spring semester at Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward, Neb.

Mariah Twedt of Frost graduated and was awarded a master’s degree in athletic administration from the College of Business at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
