Service Club to meet Tuesday

Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday at the Holiday Inn, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Corey Germaine, who will talk about the Air National Guard. Retired highway workers to meet

Retired Martin County highway workers and their spouses will meet for breakfast 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

Conservation Club sets meeting

Martin County Conservation Club Inc. will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the club shelter house on North Silver Lake. The site can be reached by driving seven miles south of Fairmont on Highway 15, then taking a right on County Road 8 for 1 1/4 miles just past Hands Park. All club members and the public are welcome to attend.

College News

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the 2021 spring semester at the University of Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls, S.D.: Fairmont — Abigail Zuehlke; Welcome — Logan Kosbab; Winnebago — Tristan Taylor.

Connor Tordsen of Fairmont, and Mercedes Moeller of Welcome, were named to the President’s academic honors list for the 2021 spring semester at Dakota State University in Madison, S.D.
