Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting

Prairie Star Quilt Guild will meet Monday at Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave. in Fairmont. A work meeting will begin at 9 a.m. for those who would like to put together kits for making bibs for senior facilities in Fairmont. Work will continue until noon, so bring a sack lunch. The guild board will meet at 12:30 p.m., with the membership meeting at 1:30 p.m. Social distancing will be practiced and masks will be worn. Members are encouraged to bring projects they’ve completed for the show-and-tell portion of the meeting. The evening guild membership meeting will be held 5:30 p.m. also at the church. Interested guests are always welcome.

Summer Co-Ed softball league begins May 12

The summer adult co-ed softball league is being organized to begin play on Wednesday, May 12, at the Winnebago Avenue Sports Complex in Fairmont. Team registration fee is $425. Teams should register at the CER office by May 7 to avoid late fee. Team registrations may be made online with Mastercard/VISA at www.fairmont.k12.mn.us. Choose CER webstore and the activity registration. Registrations may also be mailed to Fairmont CER, 714 Victoria St., Fairmont, MN 56031 or brought in to the CER office located in the Fairmont Elementary School (enter through Door 15A located on the south side of the school) or by phone (507) 235-3141.
