Correction:
In Saturday’s People & Events column, an announcement about a free community meal offered by First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont listed an incorrect date for the event. The meal will not be held on Wednesday, March 24, but on Wednesday, March 31.
Service Club to meet Tuesday
Fairmont Service Club will meet noon Tuesday at the Holiday Inn, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Tyler Garrison, Supervisor of Building and Grounds for Fairmont Area Schools. Early Risers set meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Rich Johnson from Culligan Water of Fairmont. The public is invited to attend.
Blood donation opportunity Friday
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Fairmont Crossfit, 1007 E. 10th St. in Fairmont. Extra sanitization will be in place. Please wear a face covering and practice good physical distancing. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org. Donors of all blood types are needed. Everyone who is healthy is encouraged to donate blood to help keep up a strong blood supplyin the months to come.
