Prairie Star Quilters to hold meeting
Prairie Star Quilt Guild will hold its next meeting Monday at the Fairmont Covenant Church, 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. The quilt board will meet at 12:30 p.m., followed by a general membership meeting at 1:30 p.m. Members are encouraged to bring any projects they have finished this past year for Show N’ Tell. Those who attend are reminded to wear masks and practice safe social distancing. Anyone interested in this group are welcome.
Blood donation opportunities next week
There will be two blood donation opportunities next week for our area. First, an American Red Cross blood drive will be held 1-6 p.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 901 S. Prairie Ave. in Fairmont. Also, an American Red Cross blood drive will be held 1-7 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Lutheran Church, 108 E. Jay St. in Elmore. Extra sanitization will be in place. Per current COVID guidelines, please wear a face covering and practice good physical distancing. To schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org. Donors of all blood types are needed. Everyone is encouraged to donate blood to help keep up a strong blood supply during the winter months when inclement weather and seasonal illnesses can impact donor giving.
