Club Invention series begins Feb. 1
Fairmont Community Education and Recreation announces a new virtual Club Invention series to begin Feb. 1. Mat Mahoney will be conducting the second Club Invention “Robotic Pet Vet” as a virtual after school enrichment activity for youth in grades K-6 from 3-4:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, Feb. 1 through Feb. 11. This unique virtual program allows young innovators to interact with a live instructor, participate from home and have fun while learning to creatively solve problems. The action packed activity kit includes two robotic dogs, one to personalize and one to take apart, so you can compare its mechanics to a real dog’s anatomy. Use your imagination to design and build a dog park and fun accessories for your robotic pet. Space and class kits are limited so please register as soon as possible. You will be notified when kits are ready for pick up before the Feb. 1 start. No charge, thanks to a 3M grant. To register your child, please call (507) 235-3141.
