Martin Luther to hold show event Saturday

Martin Luther High School will hold a show “LIVIN’ LA VIDA LUTHERAN: Looney Lifestyle tips for Livelier Living” at 7 p.m. Saturday at the high school in Northrop. Featured MLHS Alumni speaker will be SSG Julia Rusert, class of 2006. Due to COVID restrictions, there will not be a social hour or dinner. Physical distance seating will be provided for the show. Guests are invited to wear masks. Reduced price tickets are $30/person. Please purchase in advance at www.martinlutherhs.com or call the MLHS office at (507) 436-5249. An anonymous donor is offering a $10,000 Exit Basket Challenge for student tuition aid to be matched that evening. If you are unable to attend but would still like to participate in the Challenge Match, please mail your gift to MLHS, PO Box 228, Northrop, MN 56075 and mark it “Exit Challenge.” All are invited.

Valley Quilters cancel upcoming meeting

Blue Earth Valley Quilters have decided to cancel their November meeting scheduled for Nov. 16, due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in the state. The group had not planned to meet in December, so their next scheduled meeting is Jan. 18, 2021.
