Fairmont Exchange Club to meet today

Fairmont Exchange Club will meet noon today at the Holiday Inn, Fairmont. The program will feature Lindsey Preuss, economic development coordinator for the city of Fairmont. Prairie Star Quilters cancel meetings

Because of safety and health measures, the local Prairie Star Quilt Guild will not meet in October. For information regarding current guild projects, members may contact Carolyn Seidel.

Candidate forum set for Oct. 15

A candidate forum will be held Oct. 15 at Fairmont City Hall. Minnesota House candidates Pat Bacon and Bjorn Olson will debate at 7 p.m. At 8 p.m., candidates for Fairmont City Council will share their views. No in-person audience will be allowed, but the forum will be aired on local cable TV. Anyone may submit questions by calling in that evening or in advance by emailing the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce at info@fairmontchamber.org or Char Kahler at chark@kahlerautomation.com. The forum is sponsored by the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce and the American Association of University Women.
