Garden Club sets Wednesday meeting

City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet 9 a.m. Wednesday at Lincoln Park in Fairmont. Participants are asked to gather by the open shelter. Social distancing will be observed, so participants are asked to bring a lawn chair and wear a face covering. Attendees are asked to bring their own breakfast in a bag. Coffee and table service will be provided. There will be a business meeting followed by a presentation on “Methods of Gardening: Lasagna/Sheet Mulching Gardening.” Those interested in becoming a member or who would like more information about the club may call or text Leslie Walkowiak at (651) 895-6578.

CER announces upcoming activity

Fairmont Community Education and Recreation co-ed summer sand volleyball league play will be held Thursday evenings beginning July 2 at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Team fee is $90.
