City of Fairmont announces reopening

Fairmont City Hall, Public Works and SMEC buildings will reopen to the public on Monday. Members of the public are encouraged to continue to conduct business with city staff via phone at (507) 238-9461) or email — citygov@fairmont.org — to the extent possible. The liquor store will resume regular operating hours starting June 8. Residents visiting city buildings are asked to follow health and safety guidelines and keep a safe distance from employees and other visitors. The wearing of face masks is encouraged while visiting City Hall. Those who are showing any symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to stay home and conduct their business with the city via phone or by email.

Borderline Cruisers cancels car show

Borderline Cruisers Car Club has cancelled its downtown Fairmont car show scheduled for the weekend of June 13. This is due to public health concerns about keeping everyone safe during the pandemic. All sponsorship contributions for this year’s event will be used for next year’s show.
