Martin Luther High postpones events
Because of the ever-changing situation with COVID-19, Martin Luther High School in Northrop has made some changes to previously scheduled activities. The changes are as follows:
o Trivia Night previously scheduled for March 21 has been postponed.
o The egg bake brunch scheduled for March 22 has been canceled.
o A Concert of Sacred Music presented by the Martin Luther High School music department scheduled for March 24 has been postponed.
o Class of 2021 fundraiser (working for tips) scheduled March 25 at the Fairmont Pizza Ranch has been canceled.
o Spring rummage and bake sale to be held April 2-4 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop has been postponed until June.
College News
The following area students graduated and were awarded degrees following the 2019 fall semester at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall: Butterfield — Samantha Rettke, bachelor’s degree in early childhood education; Fairmont — Alexis Bass, bachelor’s degree in applied computational mathematics; Haley Ammann, bachelor’s degree in management; Hayley Fogelson, bachelor’s degree in elementary education; Jackson — Charlotte Powers, bachelor’s degree in nursing-RN to BSN; Truman — Savanah Krenz, bachelor’s degree in agronomy.
