St. Martin’s to host soup luncheon

Thrivent Action team of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont will hold a soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church, 102 N. Park St., in Fairmont. They will serve different varieties of soup. Take-outs are available by calling (507) 238-2686. No deliveries. Proceeds will benefit Heaven’s Table Food Shelf. Everyone is invited.

Class of 1951 to lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1951, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

Red Rock to host Saturday events

Red Rock Center in Fairmont will host the seventh annual Children’s Theatre Workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Children, kindergarten to sixth grade, will create their own version of Pinocchio from a blank slate. Lunch will be served. The play will be performed for friends and family at 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required through CER by calling (507) 235-3141. Also, Red Rock Center will host its first Open Mic Night on Saturday. Music event slated Sunday in Fairmont

Fairmont Area Ministerial Association invites everyone to the 25th annual Festival of Music that will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, 300 S. Grant St., in Fairmont. The music reflects the tradition of area churches and the theme of the music will be about the suffering of Jesus. The program will consist of solos, instrumentals, ensembles and choirs. There will also be scripture readings and a hymn sing during the festival. Donations will be accepted at the event and will go to support the ministry of CREST in Martin County.
