Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. today in the back room at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The story is “Cougar” by Maria Anderson.

IHD group to have Wednesday meeting

The next planning meeting for the Interlaken Heritage Days summer festival will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday in the basement meeting room of the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St., Fairmont. Anyone interested in helping plan the festivities for IHD weekend is encouraged to attend.

Library to host teen anti-Valentine’s party

All teens and tweens are welcome to join library staff for an anti-Valentine party 4 p.m. Thursday at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St., Fairmont. This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. With questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Humane Society plans Valentine rose sale

Martin County Humane Society is holding a Valentine’s Day rose sale. A mixed color bouquet will cost $20. The roses will be available to pick up from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 14 at their animal shelter located at 522 E. Margaret St., Fairmont. To place an order, please call ASAP to (507) 238-1885.

Dance club to hold Sunday dance event

Arc Different Drummer Dance Club will have a Valentine dinner and dance from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Fairmont Holiday Inn. Please RSVP for the dinner and/or if attending the dance (music by Switchroad) before noon Wednesday by contacting Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017. The public is invited to attend.
