Exchange Club to meet today
Fairmont Exchange Club will meet noon today at the Holiday Inn, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Ian Bents, Fairmont market president, Profinium Inc. The public is always welcome to join club members for programs. For more information, call president Ross Sheppard at (507) 236-7717.
Early Risers set Wednesday meeting
Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Jeff Markquart, Martin County Sheriff, who will discuss the new jail system, juvenile placements and other Martin County law enforcement updates. The public is invited to attend.
United Methodist slates Wednesday supper
Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of creamed chicken and biscuits, lettuce salad, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.
Tractor association to meet Thursday
Prairieland Antique Tractor Association will meet 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McDonald’s in Fairmont. The public is welcome.
Humane Society plans bake sale fundraiser
Martin County Humane Society will hold a holiday bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Fleet and Farm, 1300 N. State St., Fairmont. All proceeds will help with expenses for the animals at the shelter. Everyone is welcome.
