Event for seniors Wednesday in Blue Earth

Fearless after 50 presented by members of the Senior Wellness Partnership will be held 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the Blue Earth Senior Center, 118 W. 7th St. in Blue Earth. Presentations will include legal planning for seniors by Ray Beckel of Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services and common crimes and cons against seniors by Scott Adams from the Faribault County Sheriffs Office. Coffee and rolls will be served in the morning and lunch will be served at noon following the presentation. Free will donation. Please RSVP to Linda at the Blue Earth Senior Center before Tuesday afternoon by calling (507) 526-3850.

Community Education Day event Thursday

Join Fairmont Community Education and Recreation (CER) in celebrating 48 years of offering “Lifelong Learning and Leisure Opportunities for All Ages” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday for an open house with coffee, cookies and conversation on how CER may continue to promote an E-Adult (birth to 100+) culture for a lifetime of welcoming, inclusion and learning. Learn more about CER and the services it provides through collaboration, partnerships and cooperation. Share your ideas with CER. 4-H banquet planned Sunday in Fairmont

The 2019 Martin County 4-H Recognition Banquet will be held Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 920 E. 10th St., Fairmont. Social time and games will begin 5 p.m., with a complimentary catered meal starting at 6 p.m. followed by the program.
