Class of 1961 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends, will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont.

Veterans memorial meeting scheduled

The monthly meeting for the Martin County Veterans Memorial will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at 95 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. All Martin County veterans, veteran’s family members or interested public are encouraged to attend.

Reading of Christmas classic planned

The next practice reading of “A Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas” by Charles Dickens will be held 7 p.m. Thursday at the Red Rock Center for the Arts, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. This will not be the play, but a reading of the story as written by Charles Dickens in 1843. The book, in its entirety, will be read the first week in December. All donations from the event will be given to Heaven’s Table Food Shelf. For more information, call (507) 848-4414.
