Red Rock plans lunch event today

Experience the sounds and rhythms of Brazil with a special guest performance by Paulo Padilha e Bando at a Lunch with the Arts program from noon to 1 p.m. today at the Red Rock Center for the Arts, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave., Fairmont. Bars and coffee will be provided. The event is free. Everyone is welcome.

Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Greg Gellert, a member of Lakeside Cemetery Association, who will speak about the origins, history and actuary of records, and share current information about the association and the work they do for the community. The public is invited to attend.

United Methodist slates Wednesday supper

Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church located at 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of fish fillets, mashed potatoes, cabbage slaw, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.

Korean vets to meet Thursday

Korean Veterans Chapter 254 of Fairmont will meet for lunch noon Thursday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont. Spouses and friends are also welcome. For further information, contact Eugene Borchardt at (507) 235-5310.

Aktion Club Theatre to hold Thursday meeting

Aktion Club Theatre, part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Those needing a ride or who have questions about the group may call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or the Arc office at (507) 235-8580. The public is invited to attend any of the group’s theatrical practices.
