Moeller recovering in Staples facility

Sammie Moeller, a former local area resident, was in a motorcycle accident after hitting a deer with her husband, Paul, on July 14 near Pillager. She suffered life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized in the Twin Cities to undergo numerous surgeries. On Aug. 31, she was transferred to Lakewood Health System in Staples, where she will continue to receive therapy. Her birthday is Oct. 9. Class of 1951 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1951, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

Annual women’s coffee set for Saturday

Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church will hold its eighth annual “Heart ‘n Soul” women’s coffee event from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. Speakers will be Jeanette Howard of Fairmont and Cherrie Langford of Winnebago, who will discuss a miracle-filled experience that changed their lives forever. Immanuel Women to sponsor fall luncheon

Women of Immanuel Lutheran – Women’s Missionary League will sponsor a fall festival luncheon and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the basement at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1200 N. North Ave., Fairmont. The meal costs $8 per person and includes chicken and stuffing squares, cranberry relish, glazed carrots, dinner rolls, assorted pies and coffee. Take-outs are available. A bake sale will be held as well. Everyone is welcome.

Concert association to offer presentation

Fairmont Concert Association will present Popovich Comedy Pet Theater at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Performing Arts Center at Fairmont High School. Members are reminded to show their tickets at the door.
