St. Paul Lutheran to hold ham supper event

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont will hold their annual family-style ham supper from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday at their church located at 211 Budd St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of ham, mashed potato pearls, homemade gravy, green beans, mother’s loaf bread, creamy coleslaw, applesauce, assorted pies, coffee or milk. Advance adult tickets will be sold at the St. Paul Lutheran Church office. Tickets can also be purchased at the door. Adults cost $12, children, 5-10, will be $6, while kids, 4 and under are free. Carryout orders will cost $12, please use the south door. Home delivery will be offered within the Fairmont city limits at a cost of $12 per meal. CREST to host pillow cleaning fundraiser

The volunteer caregivers organization, CREST, will host the Carlson Pillow Cleaning Service from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Evangelical Covenant Church located at 901 Woodland Ave., Fairmont. Pillows will be cleaned, deodorized, sanitized, and fluffed for a charge while you wait. You can also drop off your pillows at the site and come back to get them later in the day. Custom made new pillows and down comforters will be available for sale as well. Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the volunteer caregiving services of CREST in Martin County. Library to host teen Read-A-Latte event

All teens are invited to join Amber for a Read-A-Latte event 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Graffiti Corner, 1500 S. State St., Fairmont. Enjoy a free fro-yo and coffee and share what you’re reading, watching or listening to. For questions, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Organizational meeting planned Thursday

A fundraiser organizational meeting will be held 7 p.m. Thursday in the community room at Friendship Village, 500 Home St., Fairmont. The fundraiser will be the second annual public reading of Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol.” Volunteers are needed: Readers, publicists, food servers, singers, music, setup, English, Spanish and Arabic speakers, belly dancers and more. Watonwan Sheriff to offer safety class

Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office will sponsor an ATV safety class from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. James Human Services Building, 715 2nd Ave. S., in St. James. Youth must be 11 years of age prior to the class start date to be eligible to take the class. Preregistration is required by calling (507) 375-2579 before Saturday.
