In Monday’s People & Events column, an announcement about a Partners In Education meeting scheduled for Wednesday listed an incorrect time for the meeting. It will be held at 6:30 a.m. at The Ranch Restaurant lounge in Fairmont.

Exchange Club to meet today

Fairmont Exchange Club will meet noon today at the Holiday Inn, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Mat Mahoney, head football coach at Fairmont High School. Early Risers set Wednesday meeting

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program will feature Danny Klous, owner and operator of D & A Properties, which specializes in home buying and consulting, appraisal services and rental properties. The public is invited to attend.

United Methodist slates Wednesday supper

Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church located at 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of fish fillets, mashed potatoes, creamy coleslaw, donated desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.

Aktion Club Theatre to meet Thursday

Aktion Club Theatre, part of Kiwanis International, will meet 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the basement of Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The group will present “The Fairmont Five O’Clock Club” to the community at 5:15 p.m. with refreshments served afterward. Those needing a ride or who have questions about the group may call Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or the Arc office at (507) 235-8580.

Humane Society fundraiser set for Saturday

Martin County Humane Society will hold a plant sale fundraiser from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday in the back parking lot at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 301 N. Main St., Fairmont. Donations will be accepted from 4:30-7 p.m. Friday in St. John’s UCC back parking lot. All proceeds will benefit the homeless animals at the Martin County Humane Society. Everyone is invited.
