Red Rock to hold events

Red Rock Center for the Arts will host a Wine & Chocolates open house 4:30-6:30 p.m. today at 222 E. Blue Earth Ave. in Fairmont. Admission is free. There will be vendor shopping, art demos, live music and rock painting. Station stops include wine sampling, chocolate bar, wine bar, make and takes, and a pulled pork meal. All ages are welcome. Also, the Red Rock Center for the Arts will host a meet-and-greet open house for the community art show from 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Many local artists and photographers will be on site. Live music will be at 2:30 p.m., with artist introductions at 3 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome.

Myeloma group sets Saturday meeting

Fairmont Area Multiple Myeloma Support Group will meet 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the main classroom at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont. An update will be given from the IMF Support Group Leaders Summit in Dallas, Texas. Patients, caregivers, family and friends are welcome to attend. A light lunch will be provided. Education Minnesota plans lunch event

Education Minnesota Fairmont will have its annual back to school luncheon 11:30 a.m. Aug. 29, at the Fairmont Holiday Inn. All current Education Minnesota Fairmont members and retired members are invited to attend. The guest speaker will be newly elected Education Minnesota vice president Bernie Burnham from Duluth.
