Genealogical Society to meet Saturday

Blue Earth church plans Saturday luncheon
Hope United Methodist Church will hold its annual salad luncheon and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church located at 12080 380th Ave. in Blue Earth (across from KJLY radio station). They will serve assorted salads, snack crackers, dessert and beverage. The cost is $7 per person. They will also have baked goods for sale. The public is invited. For those who need a ride, the church bus will be available. Call (507) 526-2144 before noon Friday.
Cardinal Pep Fest slated for Wednesday
Fairmont Fall Sports Pep Fest will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday at Citizens Park, Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. This event will help kick off the fall sports program. The public can meet the athletes, coaches and cheerleaders. Fall passes, football cards and Cardinal clothing will be available. The Booster Club will be selling food. Everyone is welcome.
