Maker Club scheduled at Fairmont library

Children ages 7-10 are invited to join library staff for a Maker Club event 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin County Library, 110 N. Park St., Fairmont. Attendees will be able to participate in a variety of space-themed maker stations. There is no cost to attend and no need to register. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Story reading Thursday at Friendship Village

A public reading of a few short stories by Russian writer Anton Chekhov will be performed 7 p.m. Thursday in the community center at Friendship Village in Fairmont. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call Peter at (507) 848-4414.

Truman class of 1969 plans 50th reunion

Truman High School class of 1969 will celebrate its 50th class reunion Friday at Blazer Hall, 106 E. First St., Fairmont. Social hour will begin at 5 p.m., with dinner getting underway around 6 p.m. Friends are welcome to join them after 7 p.m. All classmates are invited.
