WINDOM – The Fairmont Martins secured a 5-2 victory over the Windom Pirates Wednesday in an amateur baseball game. Fairmont got out for a four-run lead in the top of the second, with Windom firing back right away to make it 4-2 after the second. FAIRMONT — Three Fairmont golfers were named to the Big South All-Conference Girls Golf Team on Thursday. Overall, 19 girls were selected to be on the team. Junior Leslie Zarling and sophomores Katherine Zelaya and Carly Gustafson. Of the girls at section competition, Zelaya finished 12th overall with a 183. Zarling was 14th with a 184, while Gustafson had a 198.
