North Union and GHV traded blows in the second, with GHV leading 5-2. North Union then chipped away at the lead with one run in the third, before taking over with three runs in the fourth to make it 6-5. PRIOR LAKE — Fairmont’s Ethan Madsen finished his time in the Clay Target State Tournament on Friday with a state-championship performance at the Minneapolis Gun Club, shooting all 100 targets he saw to tie for first place overall in the male individual division. Three Cardinals named to BSC All-Conference Baseball Team

FAIRMONT — Three Fairmont baseball players were named to the Big South Conference All-Conference Baseball Team over the weekend, along with three Honorable Mentions. Junior Joseph Hackett and sophomores Josh Soelter and Joey Crissinger were both named to the Gold Division All-Conference Team, while junior Joe Long, sophomore Luke Haefner and freshman Mason Bicknase were Honorable Mentions. Bicknase was one of two freshmen to be mentioned the BSC All-Conference Team, along with Tri-City United’s Brendan Frederick on the Black Division team.
