MARTIN COUNTY— A week into the filing period for city and school board leaders, several incumbents, along with some new names, have entered the race. In the city of Fairmont, Jay Maynard of ward one and Randy Lubenow of ward three have each filed to retain their seat while Aaron Meier has filed for mayor. Lee Baarts is currently serving his first term as mayor and has not yet filed for reelection.
