FARIBUILT 6, FAIRMONT 1
FAIRMONT – The Fairmont Cardinals (0-17) fell to the Faribault Falcons 6-1 Tuesday night in a nonconference hockey game.
Scoring for the Cardinals was Hunter Olson, assisted by Gavin Kester and Klay Beemer, while goaltender Kaden Olson had 22 saves.
The Cardinals host Redwood Valley at 7 p.m. on Friday.

RED BULLS 56, MINNEAPOLIS NORTH COMMUNITY 16
ST. PETER – The Martin County West/Fairmont Red Bulls defeated Tri-City United 42-29 and Minneapolis North Community 56-16, but fell to St. Peter 54-16 in a varsity wrestling quadrangular Tuesday night.
Pierce Rohman (133 lbs) defeated Isaih Hesse by technical fall and won the decision over Tucker Skluzacek, before winning his third match via pinfall. Torrey Paplow (145 lbs) won two of his three matches both by technical fall over Charlie Born and Nathan Blaschko. Kaedin Lange (152 lbs) defeated Bravo Niyonkuru 16-3 and Blake Herman 13-2. Ty Kolbe (160 lbs) walked away with two pins over Maxxis Ross and an unlisted opponent. Aaron Becker (189 lbs) won all three of his matches pinning Tyler Krakow and Jaylen Hutchinson, while winning the final match via Forfiet. Ivan Martin won two of his matches pinning Zavier Alexander and winning the other via forfeit.
Now 13-5 heads to Maple River at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

NICOLLET – The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers (8-10) fell to Minnesota Valley Lutheran 61-54 in a nonconference basketball game Tuesday night.
Leading the Buccaneers was Gage Barker with 22 points and six rebounds, while Branson Hauskins had 12 points and five rebounds. Caden Juba had 9 points and four rebounds, while Devin Haase had 5 points.
The Buccaneers head to Fairmont at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
NORTH UNION 59, BELMOND-KLEMME 52
ARMSTRONG, IA – The North Union Warriors (7-10) defeated Belmond-Klemme 59-52 Tuesday night in a Top of Iowa Conference basketball game.
Leading the Warriors was Khael Jones with 22 points and six rebounds, while Grady Madden had 10 points and eight rebounds. Caden Walders had 10 points and three rebounds, while Drew Henderson had 8 points and two rebounds.
The Warriors host Bishop Garrigan at 7:45 p.m. on Friday.

ARMSTRONG, IA – The North Union Warriors (12-6) held on to defeat Belmond-Klemme 42-40 in a Top of Iowa Conference basketball game Tuesday night.
Leading the Warriors was Maisey Bierstedt with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Ainsley Ulrich had 10 points and four rebounds. Alexis Cummins had 6 points and four rebounds, while Ava Steinberger had 4 points and three rebounds.
The Warriors host Bishop Garrigan at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

ALDEN – The Granada-Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther Jaguars (7-10) defeated Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons 64-49 in a Tomahawk Valley Conference, Valley Division basketball game.
Leading the Jaguars was Harley Geistfeld with 19 points and nine rebounds, while Keira Benck had 17 points and five rebounds. Londyn Bowers had 8 points and four steals, while Madison Lewis had 8 points and seven rebounds.
The Jaguars host Madelia at 7 p.m. on Friday.

MAGIC 135, WASECA 130.325
WASECA – The Martin County Area Magic defeated the Waseca Bluejays 135-130.325 Tuesday night in a Big South Conference gymnastics meet.
Leading the Magic and securing first place all-around was Lillie Schultz with a 35.825, second in vault with a 9.025, second on the bars (8.275), first on the beam (9.325) and first in the floor exercise (9.2). Jadyn Montgomery took third all-around with a score of 33.75, fourth in the vault (8.875), third on bars (7.9), fourth on the beam (8.25) and second in the floor exercise (8.725). Nola Thedens secured fourth all-around scoring a 33.75, fifth in the vault (8.825), seventh on the bars (7.35), sixth on the beam (7.7) and fifth in the floor exercise (8.475).
The Magic host Luverne at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
