FAIRMONT — Teammates Blake Buntjer and Eli Anderson each produced four hits to help power the Fairmont American Legion Post 36 baseball team to a doubleheader sweep over Waseca Post 228 on Monday night in Waseca.

Starting pitcher Joey Flohrs hurled six shutout innings, allowing only four hits, while striking out four and issuing two walks to earn the victory.

Buntjer relieved to open the seventh inning of Game 1, striking out two and hitting two Waseca batters in one scoreless frame of work.

Cale Steuber and Wolter each smacked a double, Zach Jorgensen drilled an RBI single, Jack Hested singled and scored two runs, while Lance Becker added a hit in Game 1.

Fairmont erupted for five runs during the top of the second inning to stake Flohrs to a wide lead.

Steuber allowed two runs on five hits, registered two strikeouts and issued two bases-on-balls in six innings of work to earn the Game 2 victory for Post 36.

Jorgensen blasted two hits to produce one RBI, while Buntjer chipped in two singles.
