U18 girls traveling soccer team wins two games

FAIRMONT — The Saxton Family Partnership U18 girls soccer team captured a pair of victories during Fairmont Soccer Association spring/summer traveling league action earlier in the week.

Goaltender Cadence Becker made 13 saves to help pace Fairmont’s 2-1 triumph over Albert Lea on Tuesday at Kot Soccer Complex in Fairmont.

Lexi Kaufman produced one goal and one assist, Rayah Quiring netted a goal, while Brooklyn Meyer distributed one assist for Saxton Family Partnership.

Ellie Schultze erupted for a hat trick to power Fairmont to an 8-0 rout of Worthington on Monday at Kot Soccer Complex.

Sami Lenort tallied one goal and two assists for Saxton Family Partnership, while Emma Schultze, Kaufman and Becker each chipped in one goal and one helper.

Mackenzie Householder produced one goal, while Carissa Saxton and Lily Hohensee doled out one assist apiece. Kaiden Boerner and Kalie Hanna combined for three saves between the pipes for Fairmont.

U15 Girls Division

Associate Optometry 5, Waseca 4 — Emma Scheppmann generated two goals and one assist to help Fairmont edge Waseca on Tuesday in Waseca.

Bailey Martinson, Cayla Phinney-Colby and Anna Utermarck each netted one goal for Associate Optometry, while Kate Busche chipped in an assist.

Fairmont’s Abby Cihoski and Hannah Bergt combined between the pipes to turned away 10 shots.

U13 Girls Division

Car Parts Direct 2, Red Wing 1 — Brylee Miller delivered both goals to steer Fairmont to a one-goal margin of victory over Red Wing on Tuesday at the Kot Soccer Complex in Fairmont.

Sydney Blomster doled out an assist for Car Parts Direct, while netkeeper Madi Stromberg tallied two saves.

Car Parts Direct 6, Kasson-Mantorville 2 — Brylee Miller unleashed three goals and two assists to engineer Fairmont’s 6-2 triumph over Kasson-Mantorville on June 7 in Albert Lea.

Elayna Anderson and Karissa Newville each produced one goal and one assist for Car Parts Direct, Camryn Clow tallied a goal, while Kathryn Odgen chipped in an assist.

Madi Stromberg recorded four saves to net the win between the pipes.

Car Parts Direct 3, Rochester Rush 0 — Goalie Madi Stromberg made 10 saves to earn the shutout against the Rush on June 6 at Kot Soccer Complex in Fairmont.

Elayna Anderson chalked up two goals and one assist to top the offensive effort, Brylee Miller netted a goal, while Avery Sanders and Karissa Newville distributed one helper each.

Car Parts Direct 6, Albert Lea 0 — Brylee Miller’s hat trick helped guide Fairmont to a shutout over Albert Lea on May 30 at Kot Soccer Complex in Fairmont.

Elayna Anderson and Camryn Clow supplied one goal and one assist apiece, while Kaitlyn Hinz added a goal. Andrea Rojo, Karissa Newville, Kathryn Ogden and Kennedy Becker added assists.

Goalie Madi Stromberg notched four saves to net the shutout for Car Parts Direct.

U12 Girls Division

Mankato Soccerfest

Hefty Seed 2, Northfield 0 — Netkeepers Elsa Thompson and Gracy Terry combined for 16 saves to power Fairmont’s shutout over Northfield last Saturday in Mankato.

Terry also joined teammate Cadence Leiding in the scoring column with one goal apiece.

Hefty Seed 2, JOTP 2 (tie) — Madison Carlson and Elsa Thompson provided goals for Fairmont during a 2-all tie with JOTP last Saturday in the soccerfest.

Thompson also made six saves in goal, while Gracy Terry provided five stops.

Waseca 2, Hefty Seed 1 — Waseca edged Fairmont during soccerfest action last Saturday in Mankato.

Nicole Zebedee converted Cadence Leiding’s assist into Fairmont’s only goal of the game, while goalkeepers Elsa Thompson and Grace Terry combined for five saves.

Mankato 2, Hefty Seed 0 — Mankato pitched a shutout to drop Fairmont, 2-0, June 5 in Mankato.

Elsa Thompson and Grace Terry combined for seven stops to top Hefty Seed’s effort.

U11 Girls Division

Madsen Land Surveying 1, Rochester Rush 1 (tie) — Maia Goerndt’s goal helped Fairmont salvage a tie with Rochester on June 5 at Kot Soccer Complex.

Abbie Simpson assisted Goerndt’s goal, while Meghan Madsen and Ida Rohman combined for six saves in the nets.

U14 Boys Division

Mankato Soccerfest

Lawn Solutions 10, Granite Falls 2 — Preston Rogge netted two goals to pace a balanced offensive attack as Fairmont pounded out an eight-goal triumph last Saturday to finish the soccerfest with a 3-0 record in Mankato.

Jack Sadusky chipped in one goal and one assist for Lawn Solutions in the finals, while Kellen Stenzel, Kilias Nye Contreras, Adrian Sanchez, Douglas Garcia Lopez, Wyatt Luhmann, Aaron Graplar and Carson Pomerenke scored one goal apiece.

Luhmann tallied only one save to net the win for the Fairmont-based lineup.

Lawn Solutions 8, Mankato 0 — Matthew Kotewa delivered three goals and one assist to pace Lawn Solutions’ 8-0 shutout over Mankato last Saturday in the tournament semifinals.

Isaiah Lebbi chalked up two goals and one helper for Fairmont, while Carson Pomerenke, Adrian Sanchez and Preston Rogge chipped in one hit apiece.

Wyatt Luhmann and Ethan Pockrus combined for five stops to net the win for Fairmont.

Lawn Solutions 3, Mankato 1 — Isaiah Lebbi delivered a pair of goals, while Matthew Kotewa chipped in one assist to power Fairmont by Mankato in first-round action last Saturday.

Wyatt Luhmann and Ethan Pockrus combined for six stops to net the win for Fairmont between the pipes.

Marshall 4, Lawn Solutions 0 — Marshall grabbed a shutout win over Fairmont during action on June 6 in Marshall.

Wyatt Luhmann and Ethan Pockrus combined to turn away five shots on goal.
