NU’s Anderson earns 1st team

ARMSTRONG — North Union senior setter Kate Anderson earned selection to the first team of the all-Top of Iowa Conference’s West Division volleyball lineup, that was announced Thursday.

Senior outside hitter Breanna Anderson and senior middle spiker Erin Goraczkowski each netted second-team all-league accolades for North Union, while Warriors senior libero Aly Bierstedt garnered honorable mention status on the hardwood court.

Six Bucs net BSC honors

BLUE EARTH — Six members of the 2017 Big South Conference championship girls tennis team captured individual honors this fall.

Sophomore singles netter Macie Stevermer, freshman singles player Arika Howard, senior singles player Julia Hanson, senior doubles netter Malarie Scholtes, junior doubles player Carissa Engesser and freshman doubles netter Britt Howard were chosen to the Big South’s East Division team for their efforts this season.
