Area sports postponed

Near-freezing temperatures Monday, combined with an inch of rain over the weekend, forced the postponement of all area sporting events on Monday.

The following games and/or meets have been rescheduled:

• The Fairmont Cardinal boys golfers play host to Waseca at 4:15 p.m. today at Interlaken Golf Course in Fairmont.

• The Fairmont Cardinal girls golf lineup tees off against Waseca on at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the Wedgewood Golf Course in Albert Lea.

• The Fairmont Cardinal softball team plays host to Marshall in a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader Thursday at Cardinal Park in Fairmont.

• The Blue Earth Area Bucs softball lineup travels to Waseca for a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday, May 18.

• The Blue Earth Area Bucs boys tennis team plays host to Redwood Valley at 5 p.m. Friday, May 19, in Fairmont.

• The Fairmont Cardinals baseball lineup hits the road to Luverne for a 6 p.m. game on Tuesday, May 23.

Warriors join Sentinel Relays

ARMSTRONG — The North Union Warriors boys and girls track & field teams will compete in Friday’s Sentinel Relays in Fairmont.

The 62nd running of the Relays hit Bob Bonk Track at 4:15 p.m.
