BSC ice honors

FAIRMONT — Fairmont Area Cardinal senior Taylor Nuss was named to the all-Big South Conference girls hockey first team on Thursday.

Fairmont Area senior Myah Lytle earned honorable mention accolades as the Cardinals finished fourth in the Big South with a league record of 6-6-2.

ARMSTRONG — North Union Warriors junior guard Samantha Hagedorn netted first-team Western Division all-Top of Iowa Conference basketball honors on Tuesday.

The Warriors recorded a 13-3 conference record, tying with West Hancock for second place.

North Union junior guard Breanna Anderson made the all-conference second team, while Warriors junior post player Hallie Reese earned an honorable mention spot.
