Class of 1945 sets Friday meeting
Fairmont High School class of 1945 and spouses will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at Jake's Pizza in Fairmont.
Arc softball announces schedule change
The remaining two softball games for Arc/Special Olympics Friday night softball will be played at Cardinal Field on Friday and July 25. The game Friday is a location change from their schedule. If you have any questions, call the Arc office at (507) 235-8580.
Welcome firefighters to host chicken feed
Welcome Fire Department will hold a chicken feed in conjunction with Welcome Summer Festival from 5-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Welcome Legion. Everyone is welcome to stop by. Proceeds will be used to help the fire department in the restoration of its vintage 1929 fire truck.
Genealogical Society to meet
Martin County Genealogical Society will hold its July meeting and genealogy chat 9 a.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Museum, 304 E. Blue Earth Ave., Fairmont. Bridal shower set for Saturday
A bridal shower for Sara Gaalswyk, bride-to-be of Jason Rosenberg, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Trimont Covenant Church. All family and friends are welcome.
Lakesters to sponsor car show
Lakesters Car Club will sponsor a car show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot at Presentation College in Fairmont. They will be serve hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks. Proceeds will be donated to the Martin County Historical Society. Everyone is welcome.
Bible school planned in Northrop
St. James Lutheran Church of Northrop and Zion Lutheran Church of Fraser Township will hold a joint Vacation Bible School "Gangway to Galilee" from 6:15-8:30 p.m. each night Sunday through Thursday in Northrop. Martin Luther to hold summer activity
There will be an instrumental music summer camp for boys and girls from July 21-25 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. Those in grades 6-7 will do a musical techniques camp, while grades 6-9 will do a musical ensembles camp with a closing concert slated for July 25. Students should have at least one year of instrumental experience and need not be in the Martin Luther elementary lesson program. For more information, call the school office at (507) 436-5249.
