BANCROFT - The North Union Warriors baseball team doubled up the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears, winning the nonleague game 10-5 on Thursday in Bancroft.
Garrett Johnson went 4-for-4 to lead the Warriors at the plate with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs as they erupted for five runs in the second inning to take a 6-1 lead.
North Union added one run in he third and three in the fifth to cap their scoring in the victory.
The Warriors' Brandon Kollasch drove in three RBIs, going 2-for-4, while Corey Vaske scored on run and drove in one RBI.
Cody Runksmeier scored three runs and went 1-for-4 and Colin Runksmeier went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI double for the Warriors.
Colin Runksmeier also pitched six innings, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits, striking out two and walking one to earn the win.
Johnson came in and shut down the Golden Bears' three-run rally, allowing just two hits and struck out three in relief during the final inning.
John Burns went 3-for-4 for the Golden Bears, including an RBI triple and scored a run.
Andrew McGuire and Andrew Miller each went 2-for-4.
Jake Kollasch went 2-for with an RBI double for the Golden Bears.
McGuire pitched five innings, allowing 10 runs on 14 hits, striking out three and walking three to take the loss.
North Union (1-1) travels for a 5:30 p.m. game on Tuesday in Clear Lake.
