BLUE EARTH - A suspect is in custody and a homicide victim has been identified, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
Christopher Michael Fulmer, 37, was killed by blunt force trauma in an early morning home invasion at 414 Fourth St. East in Blue Earth on Monday, according to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner, following an autopsy Tuesday.
Brian Daniel Freeman, 29, of Ceylon was arrested late Monday and booked into the Faribault County Jail. Charges are expected within the next few days.
Blue Earth police responded to Fulmer's home about 12:30 a.m. Monday after a 911 call from an unidentified person inside the home reporting a disturbance. Investigators believe that based on their preliminary investigation, Freeman entered the home wearing a mask and bludgeoned several victims using a tool or tools.
Injured in the attack was 38-year-old Candice Marie Freeman, who is Brian Freeman's wife.
Candice Freeman's 19-year-old daughter, Brittany Kay Devary, and Candice Freeman's 15-year-old daughter also were seriously injured. The females were taken to United Hospital District in Blue Earth, then airlifted to St. Marys in Rochester for further treatment. There has been no more information on their conditions.
The Freemans' 6-year-old daughter was found in the residence uninjured.
The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident with the Faribault County Sheriff's Office and the Blue Earth Police Department.
