Caught on Camera

July 30, 2013 - Jennifer Brookens
Out in public, or even with someone you trust, it seems you can't get away from being caught on camera.

The video below showcases two such videos of freakouts caught on camera. One is a "Vine" video (a six or seven-second clip) of a woman yelling loud enough in an Apple store to make eveyone stop and watch, while the other is a woman having a full-fledged temper tantrum while her husband secretly records it.

Now these women are having their 15 minutes of fame for all the wrong reasons. There are several ways you can look at this, after all we've all probably been pushed to that breaking point at least once in our lives. I know I've wanted to let a few nitwit and/or snobby salespeople have it a couple of times... But I'm more bothered by the man who posted his soon-to-be-ex wife's tantrum. The grown woman thrashing and screaming like a two-year-old is certainly disturbing, but the truth of the matter is we don't know how he might have hit her buttons to make her go off before he started secretly recording. The real truth on whether this is manipulation or if that woman really is the grown up version of Angelica from the Rugrats cartoons may never be known.

But thanks to the video going viral, now people know the names of this (former) couple, where they live, and a few google seaches of "Woman wants to go to the lake" can bring up everything you wanted to know about this woman (and the full 3:41 video with some language). Oh, and the video will likely be the centerpiece for their divorce proceedings.

So what have we learned from this? That no matter where we are, chances are there's a camera and someone ready to record our worst moments. So be care where you reveal your worst self and who you reveal that to, for it could end up identifying you online for life...
