Thanks for your support

To the Editor:

Disabled American Veterans Chapter 32 and Martin County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon would like to thank all those who donated clothing during our recent fundraising clothing drive. The response was awesome, with 23,000 pounds of clothing collected during the one-month time frame. This amount filled a semi trailer … WOW!!

The funds received from this clothing drive will be used by the DAV Chapter 32 to serve our injured or ill veterans in Faribault, Martin, Jackson and Nobles County.

Martin County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon will use its funds to serve our Martin County area service members. Supporting military families by creating community support, training, services and resources for families in bringing the military all the way home.

A special thank you to all DAV Chapter 32 members, Martin County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon members, Sentence to Serve and Valero employees who volunteered during this fundraiser.

The DAV Chapter 32 has 10 bins in Faribault, Martin, Jackson and Nobles counties. You are always welcome to drop off bagged clothing, shoes, purses, coats, bedding and all linens anytime in the future. These funds will enable the DAV Chapter 32 with the continued service to our disabled veterans.

Southern Minnesota has always shown generous support in participating in all of our fundraising efforts for the military families and veterans. We thank each of you and are grateful for all that you donate.
