Sullivan “Sully” Tavin McGuire was born March 16, 2005, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Ryan and Melissa (Harms) McGuire. His childhood years were spent in the Blue Earth, Minn. area, where he attended school through the 8th grade. He moved to Spencer, Iowa, where he attended Spencer High School. Sully enjoyed boating in “Boji,” snowmobiling, golfing, playing football, fishing, biking, riding his moped, playing Xbox, spending time at Cutty’s, bonfires, his dog Mac, and was proud of his truck. He was known as Cutty’s Uber and would give anyone a ride. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends, family and girlfriend Bailey. Sully had a great work ethic, working at Fareway, Scott & Bernie’s Truckstop in Blue Earth and mowed lawns in the summer. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Ryan and Melissa McGuire of Spencer, Iowa; brother, Rylee (Jodi) McGuire of Spencer; girlfriend, Baily Swanson of Spencer; his dog. Mac; paternal grandfather, John “Terry” T. McGuire II of Algona, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Donald and Rosella Harms of Algona; aunts and uncles, Douglas (Tanya) McGuire of Algona, Jeff (Stacie) Harms of Mason City, Iowa, Chris Harms of Algona, Doug Harms of West Des Moines, Iowa, Alan (Shelly) Harms of Sioux Falls, S.D.; many cousins; other relatives; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, DeAnn McGuire; aunt, Molly Hiscocks; uncle, John “Jack” T. McGuire III; and cousins, Emma and Charlie Hiscocks.
