Veryle Williamson

TRUMAN — A private family graveside service for Veryle G. Williamson, 90, of Truman, Minn., will be in Waverly Lutheran Cemetery, rural Trimont, Minn.

Veryle was called to his eternal rest Saturday evening, Oct. 24, 2020, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, Minn. Due to COVID-19 safety procedures, there will be a public drive-through visitation from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2020, at Waverly Lutheran Church parking lot on the west side of the church in rural Trimont, Minn. The graveside service will be recorded and linked to Veryle’s obituary site on the Kramer Family Funeral Home website on Thursday. Veryle George Williamson was born April 21, 1930, on the family farm near Welcome, Minn., to George and Mamie (Garbers) Williamson. He attended country school district 115 in Waverly Township and later graduated in 1948 from Truman High School. On Aug. 27, 1950, Veryle was united in marriage to Joan Garrison at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Minn. Joan and Veryle lived in Truman where he was employed as the manager of Truman Farmers Elevator Lumber Yard until 1965 when they moved to rural Truman and began farming poultry, dairy cows, and hogs. In 1970 the couple moved to rural Trimont where they remained until 2013 when they retired to their town home on the northern edge of Truman. Veryle was a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman, Minn. He bowled on the John Deere Bowling Team for over 35 years. He greatly enjoyed playing cards and games and especially going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. He is survived by his three children: son, Steven (MarLeone) Williamson of Sherburn, Minn; daughters, Lori (Terry) Kettner of Fergus Falls, Minn., Mary (Dale) Ebeling of Sherburn; grandchildren, Jamie (Debbie) Williamson, Justin (Jill) Williamson, Stephanie (Mark) Wohlhuter, Matthew (Lori) Kettner, Stacy (Josh) Burda, Sofia (James) Stefonick, Jordan Ebeling and special friend Abigail Swenson, Aaron Ebeling; great-grandchildren, Sierra, Alyssa, Brayden, Bria Williamson, Morgan (Levi) Ringnell, Colby, and Cade Williamson, Addison and Kane Wohlhuter, Jacob and Bennett Kettner, Elizabeth and Joseph Burda; sisters, Arlene Darmer of Fairmont, Joyce Ysker of Truman; brother, Lowell (Jan) Williamson of Monticello, Minn.; in-laws, Kathy (Ken) Johnson of Roseville, Calif., Phil “Tip” (Connie) Garrison of Fairmont; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Garrison of Truman, Minn.; other relatives and friends.

Veryle was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Williamson on July 17, 2018; parents, George and Mamie Williamson; sister, Lois Daberkow; mother and father-in-law, Arthur and Hattie Garrison; brothers-in-law, Roland Garrison and David Garrison, Reiny Daberkow, Alfred Darmer and Dennis Ysker; sister-in-law, Karen Garrison; nephews, Mark Johnson, Keith Darmer, Bryan Ysker, Scott Garrison; niece, Heather Williamson; many other family members and friends. “Veryle Williamson will be forever in our hearts.”
