FAIRMONT — A funeral service for Elaine C. Craig, age 94, of Fairmont, MN, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont.

Elaine passed away Monday morning, Sept. 21, 2020, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2020, at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The family asks that people are mindful of social distancing guidelines, wearing masks and best practices in helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elaine Cora Craig was born June 18, 1926, in Martin County, the daughter of William and Caroline (Krueger) Luhmann. She lived and attended school in the Northrop and Fairmont areas, graduating from Fairmont Public School.

She was united in marriage to Charles Craig on June 21, 1947, at St. James Lutheran Church Parsonage in Northrop, MN.

Elaine was a farm wife and mother until moving into Fairmont in 1968. At that time, she started her career at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center, and retired from there 27 years later.

Faith was extremely important to Elaine and she was active in various groups at St. Paul Lutheran Church including Bible study, circle, and quilting group.

She treasured spending time with her family and traveling with Charles, especially bus trips when they were younger.

Elaine moved to Goldfinch Estates in December 2014 and entered Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in October 2019.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jean Theissen and husband, Mike of Fairmont, and Linda Craig of St. Paul: son, Charles Craig Jr. of McCook Lake, S.D.; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles; one son, David; three siblings and their spouses.
