BUTTERFIELD — A celebration of life service for James “Jim” A. Hovdet, 85, of Butterfield will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss Park in Butterfield. To access the livestream service, visit Facebook.com/butterfieldcbc 15 minutes prior to the start of the service. Those who attend the service are asked to bring a lawn chair.

Hovdet died Saturday evening, June 13, 2020, at Our House Hospice of Murray County in Slayton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at Voss Park.

Kramer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James Albert Hovdet was born Jan. 27, 1935, in Mountain Lake to Arnold and Emelia (Kjobstad) Hovdet.

Survivors include: his wife, Iona Hovdet of Butterfield; sons, Randy Hovdet of Lakeville, Rick Hovdet of Lakeville, Brad Hovdet of Lake Shetek; daughter, Becky Peterson of rural Crookston; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
