JACKSON — A Private Family Service for Sharon Kaye Luhmann, 81, of Jackson, formerly of Welcome, will be held at Kramer Family Funeral Home Chapel in Welcome, with burial in the Welcome City Cemetery. A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later time.

Sharon was called to her eternal rest on Tuesday morning, May 19, 2020, at Temperance Lake Ridge in Sherburn, Minnesota.

Sharon Kaye Roloff was born on Feb. 8, 1939, to Clarence “Shorty” and Alma (Borchardt) Roloff in Welcome, Minnesota. She attended Welcome Public School and later graduated with the class of 1957.

Sharon was employed at 3-M in Fairmont.

On Jan. 25, 1958, she was united in marriage to Carroll “Lefty” Luhmann. After their marriage, they lived in Welcome and raised their family. In 1969, they moved to Jackson and made their home and raised their family.

Sharon was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Jackson where she at one time sang in the church choir and taught release time.

She greatly enjoyed going to all her families sporting events and to the races. Sharon enjoyed playing the piano and working in her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll “Lefty” Luhmann of Jackson, Minnesota; four sons, David (Necita) “Netchie” Luhmann of Jackson, Minnesota, Dallas Luhmann and wife, Julie Williams of rural Jackson, Minnesota, Grant Luhmann of Iowa and Jeff (Keri) Luhmann of Jackson, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Eric) Earhardt and children, Rhilynn, Alyssa and Allyson of Jackson; Brandy (Matt) Hummel and Eva of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Sara Luhmann of Bloomington, Minnesota, Kyle Luhmann of Eagle Lake, Minnesota; Emma Luhmann of North Liberty, Iowa, Nicholette Luhmann and Nolan (Lorissa) Luhmann and Kaysen of Jackson, Minnesota; Brother, Duane (Shirley) Roloff of Fairmont, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Doreen Luhmann of Fairmont, Minnesota; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence “Shorty” and Alma Roloff; brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Vi Luhmann, Russell and Lucille Luhmann and Harland Luhmann; sister-in-law, LaVera (Frank) Skalicky and Florence (Lyle) Cottew and other relatives.
