ARMSTRONG — Helen Marie Rolling passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage in Luverne, Minn., at the age of 81. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2020, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Armstrong, Iowa, with Father Merlin Schrad as Officiant. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Armstrong.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Henry Olson Funeral Home in Armstrong.

Helen Marie was born March 1, 1939, in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Floyd and Viola (Nawrocki) Sheely. She graduated from East Chain High School in 1957. On June 2, 1960, she married Francis “Frank” Rolling in East Chain, Minn. The couple moved to Armstrong in 1976.

Helen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the Armstrong Historical Society.

Left to cherish Helen’s memory are her children, Robert Rolling of Columbus, Ohio, Ronald Rolling of Farmington, Utah, Timothy (Lynn) Rolling of Fairfield, Calif., and Theresa Theesfeld of Luverne, Minn.; six grandchildren, Brenna Bothwell, Evan Rolling, Sarah Abrahamson, Amanda Rolling, Kevin Theesfeld and Kelsey Theesfeld; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Heather, Bridget and Jacob; two sisters, Marlene (Howard) Anderson of Truman, Minn., and Shirley (Tim) Malherek of Riverton, Minn.; three brothers, Richard Sheely of Mankato, Minn., Edward Sheely of Mankato, Paul (Diane) Sheely of Fairmont, Minn.; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Frank; parents, Floyd and Viola Sheely; her grandparents; and sister, Barbara Doerr. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials sent to Sanford Luverne Hospice Cottage in Luverne, Minn.
