WELCOME — A Celebration of Life service for Roger E. Hoppe, 77, of Welcome will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Evangelical Covenant Church in Fairmont. Burial will take place at a later time.

Hoppe died Friday evening, Feb. 21, 2020, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at Evangelical Covenant Church in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Kramer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Roger Edward Hoppe was born Dec. 6, 1942, in Algona, Iowa, to Edward and Ruth (Person) Hoppe. He served two years in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged.

Survivors include: his wife, Gretchen Hoppe of Welcome; daughter, Sarah Frederick of Emmetsburg, Iowa; two sons, Brian Hoppe of Kennesaw, Ga., and David Hoppe of Fairmont; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
