ELMORE — Josephine Ann (Hornberg) Jansen of Elmore passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at Heartland-Parkview Care Center in Wells, Minn., at the age of 85. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth is entrusted with arrangements.

Jose-phine was born May 23, 1934, in Thompson, Iowa, to Charles and Hazel (Anderson) Hornberg. 1952 was an eventful year for her. She graduated from Thompson High School on May 22, turned 18 on the 23rd and married Henry Arnold Jansen on June 1st. They moved to Elmore, where she has lived ever since.

Josephine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmore.

Reading, roller skating and playing bingo were some of her favorites ways to pass the time. Enjoying the time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her three children, Joan (Jim) Kellander of Phoenix, Ariz., Jerene (Paul) Zwaschka of Fairmont, and Henry Jansen Jr. of Elmore; grandsons, Ryan (Heather) Zwaschka of Burnsville, Nathan (Jenna) Sohler of Zimmerman, Brent (Dee) Kellander of Melbourne, Australia, and Jordan (Barbara) Kellander of Phoenix, Ariz.; one great-granddaughter, Zoey Kellander of Melbourne, Australia; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Jansen Sr.; and daughter, Janet Jansen.
