FAIRMONT — A funeral service for Judy M. Buhmann, age 78, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, at United Methodist Church in Fairmont, with interment in Welcome City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

Judy passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 6, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont.

Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Judy Mae (Lueck) Buhmann was born March 29, 1941, in Welcome, Minn., the daughter of Henry “Hank” and Johanna (Lohse) Lueck. Judy attended Welcome Public Schools and graduated from Welcome High School in 1959.

On Dec. 22, 1963, Judy was united in marriage to Elmer Buhmann in Welcome. The couple resided in Fairmont, where Judy stayed home to raise the children and care for her family. This union was blessed with three sons: Brian, Brad and Brent. Judy and Elmer shared over 55 years together.

During her free time, Judy enjoyed garage sales, doing crosswords, painting, watching the news and history channels on TV, fishing, and hunting for arrowheads. She most loved the time she was able to spend on the phone with and visits from her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Elmer Buhmann; sons, Brian Buhmann, his wife Cynde and their children, Matthew, Morgan, Jacob, Benjamin, and Abbey; Brad Buhmann, his wife Robynn, and their children, Jackie and Levi; and Brent Buhmann; sisters, Lois Van Riper, and Maryann (Jim) Wohlhuter; brother, Roger (Helen) Lueck; sister-in-law, Arelen (Robert) Lueck; many other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Henry and Johanna Lueck, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Ella Zehm and her husband, Bob; brothers, Robert, Max, Jim, and Jack, Dennis Lueck; and parents-in-law, Alfred and Edith Buhmann.
