ELMORE — David “Dave” Ray Weringa, 46, of Elmore, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, after a long battle with leukemia.

Dave was born March 6, 1973, in Blue Earth, Minn. He graduated from Granada-Huntley-East Chain High School in 1991.

Dave is survived by his children, Briannon (25) of Worthington, Minn., and Stendsay (17) of Elmore, Minn.; parents, Thomas and Dawn Weringa of Elmore; brother, Danny Weringa and very special sister-in-law, Hohni Weringa of Buffalo Center, Iowa; sisters, Dayna Price (Andy) of Lakota, Iowa, and Tanya Laudenbach (Mark) of Buffalo Center, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Tanner, Tiah, Kelsi, Kaden, Lauren, and Landen.

There will be no funeral services for Dave. At his request, he would like a celebration of life in his honor at noon Oct. 12, 2019, at Danny’s house, 2308 480th St., Buffalo Center, Iowa. In case of inclement weather, the location will be changed to the Minn-Iowa Golf Course, Elmore. Your presence is your present.
