NORTHROP — A funeral service for Patricia “Pat” L. Kosbab, age 83, of Northrop, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at St. James Lutheran Church in Northrop. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.

Pat passed away Monday evening, Sept. 2, 2019, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. James Lutheran Church and School.

Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia Louise Kosbab was born May 30, 1936, in Center Creek Township, Martin County, Minn., to Delmar and LaMina F. (Babb) Classon. She received her education by attending country schools and graduating from Welcome High School in 1954.

Pat was united in marriage to Robert C. Kosbab on Sept. 9, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome. This marriage was blessed with three daughters: Cindi, Kristi and Sherri.

After their marriage, Bob and Pat made their home in Northrop. She worked at Stokely Van Camp and, in her later years, she worked at Kmart in Fairmont.

Pat was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, where she was part of the LWML Eve Circle and altar guild.

She served on the 1999 Northrop Centennial Celebration committee.

Pat loved baking in her kitchen, Wednesday afternoon bowling league and crossword puzzles. Pat most loved spending time with her family and for several years making annual trips up north for summer vacations.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Kosbab; daughters, Cindi (Paul) Tomlinson, Kristi (Larry) Behrens, and Sherri (Kevin) Roforth; grandchildren, Brady (Colleen) Tomlinson, Erin (Corey) Simpson, Shelby Tomlinson, Nathan Behrens, Lisa (Devin) Nelson, Jayden (fiancée, Mariah Thate) Garlick, Colby (J’aime) Garlick, Kelynn Garlick, Jaxen Garlick, Crystal (Ryan) Stowe, and Cassie (Greg) Fisher; 10 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Kosbab and Rollo and Jen Kosbab; and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and LaMina Classon; parents-in-law, Henry and Lillian Kosbab; brothers and sisters-in-law, Herb and Lorna Kosbab, Helen (Kosbab) and Leo Becker, Delbert Kosbab, Esther (Kosbab) Smith-Mohwinkel, Emeril Smith and Dorwin Mohwinkel; son-in-law, Rickard Garlick.
