Mary was born and raised in Fairmont, Minn. She met her future husband, Rup, at Fairmont High School where both graduated in 1954. Mary was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was an excellent cook and especially loved baking cookies, cakes and bars for family and friends. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed knitting, playing cards, attending grandkids events, exercising, biking, traveling and maintaining a well-kept home. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Rup; sons, Steve, Jeff (Sherl), Greg (Victoria); grandchildren, Jessica (Mike), Gina (Bryan), Juliet, Lauren, Caitlin, Jake, Zach (Hannah), and Steven; great-grandchildren, Mason and Violet; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Rose Gaworski; brothers, Richard, Eugene and Jerome. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers, Breck Homes, Geneva Suites and Visiting Angels who helped care for Mary the last few years while she battled Parkinson’s Disease.
